What do I wear?

It's hard enough to know what to wear every morning, but with this unseasonably warm weather we are experiencing, it is now more difficult than ever. Here are a few tips that may help you get through this warm, wet "winter" weather.

Do: Wear your new leather gloves. They are stylish, comfortable and too nice to keep in hiding until next season.
Don't: Wear your balaclava. Unless you want to be mistaken for a bank robber. Otherwise, leave it in the bottom of your closet.

Do: Wear layers. No matter what the weather, layering will always be in style. Be creative with your choices but be sure to keep your look polished. Try wearing an embellished tank topped with your favorite blouse and to finish the look add a vest.
Don't: Wear last season's puffy jacket. It is definitely out of style and will add unnecessary bulk to any frame. Not to mention the dreaded sweat factor!

Do: Wear a hat - not to be confused with a tuque or baseball cap. Not everyone looks good in a hat, but no one looks good with frizzy wet hair. There are plenty new styles and colors of hats out there to choose from. Still not convinced? Then don't forget to bring along an umbrella!
Don't: Wear earmuffs. Especially the pink fuzzy kind. Like I said, there are plenty of stylish hats to choose from.

Do: Toss on a pashmina. Not only will this add a punch of color to your wardrobe but is also versatile enough to wear like a scarf with your coat or to wear as an accessory to your work attire.
Don't: Avoid color. Liven up any dreary day with a splash of color. Focus on one piece, like a tank top or a pair of shoes. Don't be afraid to be bold.

Is it 2007 already? Over the past week I have been in a turkey haze. I woke up this morning and I was still wearing the clothes that I had on for Christmas Eve! I'm just thankful that I was wearing anything at all. I'll be the first to admit, I over did it. I had a little more food, a little more drink and a little more dessert and like every year I put on a little more weight. I don't know why this keeps happening to me. I mean my New Year's resolutions have always been to workout more and eat less. Shouldn't that be enough? I guess it never occurred to me that I actually had to do something to make it work. Well I did buy a great pair of running shoes - but they are way too nice to wear outside. I also bought a beautiful black velour track suit - but that too is way too nice to sweat in. Oh, but I have worn my black tights and pink sports bra to work out in - but I haven't seen them for at least two years. Note to self: Look in the pile of clothes that are covering the treadmill. Hey, at least my intentions have always been good!
